Do You Have a Saul In Your Life?
This evening I found out that a friend of mine, Pablo (many of you know him) was brought to the hospital early this morning around 3 am. He was and is having heart problems. This evening he is still in the hospital.
How he got to the launcha (the boat that brings you across the bay) is a story that will more than likely bring tears to your eyes and remind most of us that we do not have it so bad.
Saul, said that last night (well early this morning) Pablo knocked on his door and when Saul opened the door he said that Pablo was grabbing his chest and fell to the ground, unconscious. Saul picked him up (Pablo is a bit larger than Saul) and he carried him over his shoulder all the way down the dirt road (from one end of the colonia to the embarcadero) about 11 blocks! I have no idea of the implications, if any, this may have caused...however, I do know that if it was not for the determination of a good friend Pablo may have not made it through the night.
Dedication and love of one another, must be the driving force behind such heroic actions...Of course, "hero" is not a word used or shared here...Just the everyday simple life of doing what is needed.
I got the buzzer working at the front gate, and asked Saul, to please ring me the next time anything like this were to happen ~ So I Can drive them.
I think we would all be very lucky to have a "Saul" in our lives ~
Now I ask you...do we really have it so bad?

Not sure which Pablo this story is about but non the less I wish him all the best. Good for Saul, a heart of gold. Yes that is how things are in Mexico, one does what one needs to do, no questions asked, nothing expected in return.
