Libs...
There are those times, that you think that you are covering all bases in schooling...then a child will say something like...what are libs?
Mind you we were working on math....any ideas???
So before I post what it is...anyone want to take a guess at what the question was referring to?

????? Not a clue, and I will refrain from searching until you post answer! Thank you for keeping us on our toes.

Drum roll please ....oh by the way....no one knew! 100% of the ideas were incorrect....but thanks for trying!!
Libs are lbs. or pounds! Gavin was working on weight in math and this came up...He asked me "what are libs?"
So, then he said he always saw the word libs (lb) - but never really understood why... libs or (lb) meant pound...and I could not answer that question..which lead us to the internet to find out why...
Did you know that =
The form lb is actually an abbreviation of the Latin word libra, which could mean a pound, itself a shortened form of the full expression, libra pondo, “pound weight”. The second word of this phrase, by the way, is the origin of the English pound. (compliments of worldwidewords.org)
