Christmas Spirit

On our trip to the states, I was reading a magazine that had an article about Christmas. It was saying how celebrating Christmas as a reason to celebrate Jesus's birth was incorrect - this group says that this is not the right time of year to be celebrating his birth.

It went on to say how commercialized Christmas is - and buy, buy, buying...is wrong because you are falling into a trap. (and for some, I do concur)

I say...maybe...and for each their own ~  What I really got out of this article was the reminder as to why I celebrate Christmas.  Of course, this has evolved through my life...

To begin with, I do believe in a higher power and I am grateful for all that is, And as for buy, buy, buying...I do love to give...but I do this at all times of the year with an emphasis during the season of giving ~

I celebrate Christmas to Celebrate "the Christmas Spirit"  During this time of year,  most people try a little harder at getting along, they slow down, be more patient, are more understanding - You get to witness more love shared with more people.  It is that time of year when you make time to spend "more time" with your family and friends, eat more meals together, go see a movie, share recipes and have cookie bakes.

It is the~ true spirit ~ that many celebrate only on special days but I see it as a time when there is more awareness and more...caring ~

The Christmas Spirit beams rays of goodness out amongst us ~ all the time...it just seems for WHAT ever reason... this time of year is when more people embrace it...and that my friend is why I love to celebrate Christmas.

The heightened awareness of human kindness, shines a bit more brightly during this season.  AND this is a reason to celebrate...
Celebrate  ~ The Christmas Spirit ~

Very nicely said! That is pretty much how I feel about the Holidays. I did get a chance to see a movie with some folks and I have to say it really helped me get into the spirit of helping people alone life's long and sometimes lonely sojourn. The movie helped because the rogue, rough around the edges, prince to be did manage to win over the princes. He did however need to take about 10 hits from the frying pan.
