Love My Electric Bills!

This time of year we have a bit of reprieve from our electric bills. The government pays a portion of the cost of electricity on all the bills, due to the hot temperatures and the need to have a/c on.

We do have an a/c unit, it is in our small room we use as a school / library room, so it is not on to much.

We get our bills every two months here on the isla ~ the last bill I paid was for service from July 13th to September 10th. Meaning part of that time we were not here to use electricity...

I have friends who got their first electric bill and it was $800.00 dollars (already converted from pesos)

I am SO happy that my electric bill for TWO months was $194 pesos so roughly $15.00 and 52 cents.... So that is $7.00 and 76 cents per month.

I, am -  a loving it!

Oh, my Contessa...yes the heat is HEAVY and DAMP here...if it were not for the extremely high humidity it would not be so bad (I think) BUT there are many three shower days just to cool off and rinse the wetness off...with wetness...hmmm How does that work?
