Best Buses
Today, Tiffany and Zavier arrived safe and sound via bus!! They got on the bus in Denver, Colorado Tuesday night at 8:30 pm and got here in Mazatlan this afternoon at 12:45!
The ride was an adventure - but a good one with wonderful memories. At one check point near Durango the military did their random searching of some bags...one of the the officers came back into the bus got right in Tiffany's face and said "Passport Please" ! He looked over it with a "hmmmm" "hmm" "uh-huh" Hands her back her passport and says "You are very pretty".
Compliments are always appreciated, even from a slightly intimidating officer, hovering over you...especially after you just got through 2 days of traveling on a bus with am almost 3 year old!!
Tiffany said that once she got into Mexico (she passed in Juarez) the buses were wonderful. They have larger seats with more leg room, TV and sound system was better quality, better movies, cleaner and nicer "banos", larger picture windows to see the world as you go by and the buses were newer/ more modern!
The cost is minimal and the bus terminals are exquisite...comparing them to the states.
Tiffany summed it up by saying this "Riding in the second class buses in Mexico is like flying in First Class in the States". She did not have many kind words for the terminals or the buses in the states.
Happy as she is with the bus trip, she has now found out that there is an even better bus system here in Mexico first class, and she may give it a try on the return trip to the states
