50 States in 54 Days
The other day a friend of mine shared a wonderful story - in return I want to share it with my readers.
I ask you of a favor as well. IF anyone knows who this rider is, please connect us; as I woudl like to do a follow up on his adventure....
My friend always stops for bikers on the side of the road, he rides and that is just who he is...kind. So, he stops to help this man who ended up having a flat tire.
The rider, is a solider, and he is on a 54 day leave and just returned from Afghanistan. He had decided he woudl ride his Harley though 50 states in these 54 days. The real kicker here is, that he was traveling the back roads, and truly experiencing the United States. He was on his way to Washington state and scheduled to get on the ferry to Alaska in two days...he was on the phone with the nearest Harley dealer near Eureka California, asking them to please stay open late so that he could continue his trip.
Roger got him to the dealer, they stayed open for him,( I thought that was cool) he got his new tire and he headed off down the road. His plan was another 6 hours that night before he bedded down.
I can go into story teller mode and create all kinds of reasons and stories about this man...BUT I wish that he would share his story his self. Maybe if we circulate this blog entry around, someone will know who he is and we can get ...the rest of the story
My wishes to the rider ~ travel well, be safe and let the cool breezes of freedom blow through your soul, bringing you peace ~
