To Call or Not to Call 911
A situation has come to my attention.... a young man witnessed abuse by the police department, and was not sure what to do...so he called 911.....(note...In the first few moments...the two men he saw committing the things he saw, did not identify themselves as police officers, they were wearing plain clothes...pushed children down ... and committed their abusive force on a man that had already been subdued and gave himself up..)
The question... to call or not to call 911, when you witness a crime, such as this...is based on this fact.........after calling 911 and reporting what this young man saw...he was arrested while standing there. Witnesses say that he was just standing there, and was "jumped" by four officers.... I have a pretty clear understanding of why that may be....pretty sad...
Would you call...knowing that the consequences could be the same as this young mans??
So, I wonder..... who are we suppose to call when these things are happening???
Is anyone else feeling scared about the situations like this??
