Hobbit House

I was visiting with friends today at the Hobbit House; it was great to see so many people come together to help a person in need.

Don, a dear friend; living with Lou Gehrigs disease had a celebration today of LIVING and a show of appreciation.  He has a wonderful support group of family and friends ~~ walking into his home (the Hobbit House) you can feel the love and be graced with peace.

Ruth, his mother died recently of cancer; her death occurred when I was still in Mexico. Although I was aware of Ruth's passing - I guess I did not mourn her leaving. Today,  Kate (a best friend of mine and Don's sister) shared with us some stories and pictures about Ruth's last days and all of the sudden it was waterworks for me.

Deanna (my other "best est" friend) walked and talked with me. She helped me to understand how, at least for me this time.... the distance made it harder to really "feel" Ruth's passing and how —-when I was here with all the love - it became more real.

The day was wonderful and it pointed out an obvious point ~~ What would we do with out good friends, love and support?

They assist us in enjoying life ~~~I hope that I ~ can be ~ of as much assistance

Sounds like a simple concept...ehh?

Now  - go send a friend a card or give 'em a call
